Having a role model would have made it so much easier to learn makeup, hair removal, helping pick out clothes. Imagine spending time at the dressing table together talking about boys. Perhaps even sharing a bed, coming out of a bath with a freshly shaved body snuggling with another girl.
So many of the photos feature sweaters! It reminds me that accepting my femineity is so much more than dressing. When you take over taking care of the house, shopping and cooking, you begin to understand who you really are. But spending the evening quietly knitting goes a long way to making it real.
