A drawing of Martin with the concubines at the spa in L.T.L.V 5 or that scene in which Martin is folded in a chair and being fucked by the Baron and a maid enters the room and surprises them in the act (The Marriage of Martin Hastings - Chapter Nineteen) would be really cool.
Nice profile of Constance might you also add that she was delusional in that she blamed Martin for the marriage and not the Baron. I believe it was her meddling in the Baron's love life that led the Baron to try an embarrass her and the family name, but she seems oblivious to that, but I guess the scotch helps her have her own reality.
Nice observation, but Constance is actually more in denial of her son's sexuality. But I agree on some level that she believes her own reality. She has power and wealth and has known nothing else, but live in comfort and luxury.
What I always thought of as strange was Constance's interference in the baron's and Angela's relationship, was the marriage to Martin so Constance would not see it coming and try to stop it. As Angela stated that he had married Martin just to embarrass Constance and get her to bring Angela back. If you think about it the Baron sexuality has always been heterosexual as he basically turned Martin into a woman and always had women for sex, maybe Martin was a slap at his mother's bisexuality. Anyway thanks for the profile of a great character from one of my favorite stories.
